How to integrate KYT with a private Slack channel
If you have a private Slack channel that you'd like to integrate KYT with, you can do this by:
In Slack: Adding the KYT App to a private Slack channel
In KYT: Refreshing Slack channels
1. Slack Setup
Start by visiting the private channel in Slack and then selecting "Add apps":
You're good to go on Slack! 👍
If your organization hasn't yet integrated with Slack, you can find how to do that here.
2. KYT Setup
In KYT, syncing these new channels can be done on an Owner/Admin level or Manager level:
For Owners/Admins:
Go to org-wide "Email & messaging settings" and select "Refresh channels."
For Managers:
Go to a Team you are on, then select "..." + "Teams email & messaging settings"
💪 Pro Tip: Managers will not be able to change settings for Teams they are not added to.
